1
Q

rituximab

A

targets the CD20 antigen, used for treatment of many B cell lymphomas

2
Q

what are side effects of tumour specific monoclonal antibodies (like rituximab)

A

allergic reactions and TLS

3
Q

what is TLS

A

TLS is the tumor lysis syndrome, caused by the destruction of cells. due to this there is an release of LDH which causes uric acid to be made and thus renal failure

4
Q

ibritumomab/tiuxetan

A

radioactive parts are added to the immunoglobulins as therapy

5
Q

ADC

A

MMAE is added to the antibody

6
Q

which side effects can occur if you give ADC to a patient

A

MMAE polyneuropathy

7
Q

what are BiTE for drugs

A

cominbation of two different antibdoies which caueses T and B cells to be linked, after which the T cell can destroy the B cell

8
Q

what are CAR T cells for drugs

A

genes from multiple molecules are combined to make a neogene that is introduced into T cells via a virus, in order to kill the B cells

9
Q

what are side effects of CAR T cells

A

cytokine release syndrome, hypotension, fever, tachycardia and dyspnoea

10
Q

imatinib

A

tyrosine kinase inhibitor that can be used for CML

11
Q

midostaurin

A

FLT3 inhibitor used to treat patients with AML
