What is guard duty?
Task performed by all soldiers to protect the force
What are the two types of orders that govern guard duty?
General orders and special orders
What is an interior guard?
Detailed by commanders to protect property

A field grade officer, detailed as the personal representative of the commanding officer

The officer of the day is an officer directly under the commanding officer

An officer acting as the representative of the commander when the commander is not present
What is the commander of the guard?
Senior officer or NCO of the guard
What is the staff duty noncommissioned officer?
Appointed representative of the command, sergeant, major, and assistant to the SDO

A individual guard or group of guards that are assigned to perform guard duty
When is the patrol system used?
To guard large areas
What is escalation of force?
Series of actions that begin with non-lethal force measures and may graduate to lethal measures to protect the force
Why is guard mount conducted?
To ensure all personnel are present alert, and knowledgeable

Buy authorized person to inspect the guards
