An Italian priest and philosopher.

A renewal or rebirth of arts and literature in the 15th and 16th century.

An Italian renaissance artist, architect, engineer, and scientist.

An Italian renaissance sculptor, painter, architect, and poet.

The systems where wealthy people supported Renaissance artists.

A device that made printing books a faster process that helped spread information quicker.
Martin Luther/The 95 Theses
A monk who faithfully followed the church, but when on his visit to Rome, realized that the church was selling fake indulgences, and overall, mocking these rituals. Thus, he wrote the 95 Theses to explain what was really going on.
Protestant Reformation
When the Christians began to protest because of the fake indulgences being sold.
Henry VIII/The Church of England/Mary I
Henry was the King of England, and ruled great power over the place. Though, in his rule, he was not happy with his Wife, and broke away from the Church so he could marry another woman. In the end, he had six wives, and after his death, his daughter, Mary I ruled the area.
St. Ignatius/Jesuits/Council of Trent
A priest who created the Judaists and tried to make Catholicism better.
Elizabath I/Spanish Armada
Elizabeth ruled over England, and also made the area protestant. The ruler of Spain, Charles V, was not happy with this because he wanted the area to be fully Catholic. When England ended up rebelling against his rule, he sent a fleet of ships, known as the Spanish Armada, to attack. In the end, England rebelled again, and won this battle.
