b.	Adhere during exhalation putting 
1.	Vented: put vent over wound 
2.	Unvented: ensure extends2” beyond wound on all sides

ii. Wipe blood/clots
iii. Reapply on expiration

b. Needle D

A

i. 2nd ICS mid clavicular line over the 3rd rib (OR) 5th ICS on anterior axillary line directly over 6th rib
ii. Choose needle 10-14ga 3¼ ”
iii. Insert over top of rib at 90 degree (to chest wall) and LEAVE NEEDLE in x 10 SEC
iv. Remove needle – leave catheter
v. Secure hub to chest
