  • TCP is transmission control protocol that ensure accurate and reliable delivery of data between networks.
  • IP is internet protocol that routes data in the form of packets to a numeric identifier assigned to a device called IP address. Not reliable but does a best effort delivery between hosts.
  • IP helps breakdown data into packets to ensure that something big like a file is delivered reliably.
