Teaching Techniques

A

Voice Quality (intonation, rithm)

Create change (it’s not about perfection, it’s about client understanding what movement they are doing, how it works best for their body and what would make it even better)

Flow (within and btw exercises, how can you connect one movement with another, give a client rest some rest)

Personalize Cuing (‘your’ vs ‘that’ leg, arm etc, talking to someone rather than around. )

Balance information and silence

Be concise (say just what needed, the shortest way to get them moving and get active, avoid ‘filler words’)

Provide options (its ok, lets try different way, create an environment where options are safe and available)

!!! Know what you’re talking about, or don’t talk about it!

!!! You counting, you’re not teaching !

!!! In the beginning you will give more info. and instructions, so the program might be of 10 exercises. As client progress, it could be of 15)
