Slang = Large part of teenage vernacular, which isn’t understood by other generations

Bradford study = British-Asian secondary school children codeswitch with English and Punjabi so others can’t understand, especially when use expletives

They also did it to diverge from ‘freshies’ (those who moved to England from Pakistan) as they felt little connection to them
