Symptoms: Instability in moods, self-image, relationships, and behavior; impulsivity; fear of abandonment; and intense emotional reactions.
Example: A person who has a pattern of unstable relationships, extreme mood swings, and difficulty controlling emotions.

Symptoms: Excessive emotionality, attention-seeking behaviors, and a need for approval and validation.
Example: A person who is uncomfortable when not the center of attention, and may use dramatic expressions or physical appearance to gain attention.

Symptoms: A grandiose sense of self-importance, lack of empathy, need for admiration, and a sense of entitlement.
Example: A person who constantly seeks admiration and has difficulty understanding or caring about others’ feelings.

Symptoms: Social inhibition, feelings of inadequacy, and a fear of being rejected or criticized, which leads to avoidance of social situations.

Example: A person who has difficulty making decisions independently and may rely excessively on others for guidance and support.
