Unconscious activities connecting to the internal organs
Eg: digestion
What does the somatic nervous system connect the CNS with
Connects the CNS with senses as well as the skeletal muscles
What does the somatic nervous system control
Controls our conscious activities such as running
What does the autonomic nervous system divide into
Sympathetic nervous system
Parasympathetic nervous system
What does the sympathetic nervous system prepare the body for
Excites the body and prepares it for action e.g fight or flight
What does the parasympathetic nervous system do to the body
Calms the body down
