P= biological basis can be argued to support Grossman’s findings that fathers adopt a secondary CG role
E= could be female hormones (oestrogen) which create higher levels of nurture, women are biologically predisposed to be PAF for children
E= males dont produce much oestrogen, produce more testosterone not associated with caring + nurture, suggests fathers role is less important than mothers as Grossman suggested
