patriarchy is reinforced in education:
-Moral panic- more media coverage on boys achievement = an over exaggeration on the gap between boys and girls achievement
-Gendered subject images- women are labelled in a certain way and this is reflected through subject criteria (2% of females choose construction as it’s seen as a “man’s job”)
-Women being sexualised in schools- rise in technology = it has become easier for men to trash talk women and sexualise them through photos (59% of girls are photographed without consent inappropriately in school)
