What is the Holy Trinity?
The belief that there are three persons in one God: the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, each being separate however also one being.
What does the Trinity describe?
There is only one God,
Each person of the Trinity if fully God.
The persons of the Trinity are not the same.
God the Father
Christians believe God the Father is the creator of the earth and all living things upon it.
He is believed to be omnipotent, omnibenevolent and omniscient.
Quote about God the Father:
“Our Father in heaven, hallowed be thy name.”
– Lord’s Prayer (Matthew 6:9)
God the Son
God the Son is often referred to as the Son of God, where he became incarnate on earth through embodying Jesus Christ.
Christians believe Jesus was fully human whilst on Earth, and also fully God at all times.

“I am the way, the truth, and the life.”

God the Holy Spirit
Christians believe the Holy Spirit is the inspiring presence of God in the world after Jesus left earth, and is an unseen power on God’s work throughout all of time.

“You will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you.”
– Acts 1:8
