SECTION 1 THEFT ACT 1968
A person is guilty of theft if they dishonestly appropriate property belonging to another with intent of permanently depriving the other of it.
Either way offence - 7 years
PROPERTY
The term property includes:
money
all other property
other intangible property
A person can not steal land or things forming part of land.
A person who picked mushrooms growing wild on any land or who picks flowers, fruit or foliage from a plant growing wild on any land does not steal what they pick unless they do it for reward or for sale or for other commerical purpose.
Pick or pluck = okay
Uproot or sell for profit = theft
SECTION 13 ABSTRACTING ELECTRICITY THEFT ACT 1968
a person commits an offence who dishonestly uses without due authority or dishonestly causes to be wasted or diverted any electricity from any source.
Either way offence:
5 years imprisonment
