Housing tenure
The leave right to live in a house. Housing tenure is usually categorised as either rented or owner occupied
Owner occupied
Someone who owns their own house
Social landlord
And organisation, such as housing association or local council, which rents properties on a not for profit basis
Private landlord
An organisation renting from someone who owns a property. They usually rent it out so they can make money
CBD-central business districts
The commercial and business centre of a city. In larger cities, it is often synonymous with the city’s “financial district”.
Informal settlement
Homes where the household let’s have no legal rights to the land, I.e they do not have legal housing tenure. Informal settlements are commonly known as shanty towns and squatter settlements
