Q

Fletcher Munson Curve

A

DBSPL
Varying absolute intensities that had the same loudness to the ear at various frequencies
- we hear low and high frequencies poorly

Q

Signal to noise ratio

A

Doorway metaphor
Top of head being nominal sound
Doorway top being clipping, space between being headroom
Noise being the lip of the doorway by the feet

Better = more dynamic range

Q

Magnetic field hand rule

A

We can remember this diagram using the right-hand rule. If you point your pointer finger in the direction the positive charge is moving, and then your middle finger in the direction of the magnetic field, your thumb points in the direction of the magnetic force pushing on the moving charge
