What do the vestibular glands secrete?

A

urethral tubercle (petrusion)
- most species, the vestibule is well develop = urethral opening is ‘hidden’
- vestibular glands secrete mucus in receptive females (lubrication)

  • cow and sow have a suburethral diverticulum
