What is the MOA of Thombolytics?

A

Basically to just turn Plasminogen to Plasmin, which will affect the cross-linked fibrin. Causing the clot to dissolve.
-can increase bleeding risk

A

XIIa and t-PA
-t-PA is inhibited my PAI-1 and PAI-2

What is Alteplase?

A

Thrombolytic Drug used for Acute MI, Stroke, and PE.
-Short t1/2
-cleared in the liver & kidney

A

a catalyst that converts plasminogen to plasmin BUT it doesn’t direct dissolve clots.
