Q

What happens when you edit ad text

A
  1. Your ad goes through the usual approval process whenever you edit your ad text. Approval takes about one business day.
  2. Your edited ad’s performance history is set to zero. Editing an ad is the same as creating a new ad and removing the old version.
  3. You’ll still be able to see your original ad’s performance history by selecting “All” from the “All but deleted campaigns” drop-down menu above the statistics table.
  4. You won’t be able to resume the original version of your ad. You’ll need to create a new ad or edit your ad again if you want your original text.

Q

For your Display Network campaigns, you can add a destination URL for a particular managed placement, age, gender, topic, interest category, remarketing list, keyword, or ad.

AdWords will use the destination URL from the targeting method that you’ve enabled custom bids for. If you haven’t provided a URL for this targeting method, we’ll use what destination?

A

the ad’s destination URL.

Example
Managed placement - www.example.com/flowers_tulips.html

Ad - www.example.com/garden_tools.html
