What is considered 1 alcoholic drink?
12 oz beer, 1 shot of hard liquor, or 5 oz wine
What does it mean when someone gets blackout drunk?
They’re so drunk that they pass out and/or lose their memory of the event that happened
What is a Depressant?
A drug that decreases blood pressure and heart rate. Causes loss of coordination and slower reaction/thinking in the brain
What does intoxication mean?
Intoxication is the state a person feels when drunk or is feeling the effects of an alcoholic drink
Define Euphoria
A sense of pleasure due to a huge increase in dopamine levels
Define Dopamine
A hormone in the brain that occurs when something pleasurable happens
What does methamphetamine look like?
stimulant, crystalline white powder, odorless, bitter, dissolves easily in water and alcohol.

A drug that increases blood pressure and heart rate. Makes the consumer feel energized

Nicotine is an addictive substance usually consumed through vapes and cigarettes

A cancer-causing substance
What is the difference between sidestream smoke and mainstream smoke?
- Sidestream smoke: smoke at the burning end of a cigarette, pipe, or cigar
- Mainstream smoke: exhaled from the lungs of a smoker
