Q

specific heat capacity practical

A
  1. use a solid blocks with holes for the heater and thermometer. measure blocks mass and insulate. insert heater and thermometer
  2. measure initial temp. connect circuit to 10V power supply, turn on power and start stopwatch.
  3. record temperature at regular intervals
  4. after 10 readings turn off power supply
  5. calculate power supplied using P= voltage x current
determine energy transferred using E= Pt
  6. repeat and compare
