How can you carry out a flame test?

1) To carry out a flame test, first clean a nichrome wire loop .
2) Then dip the wire loop into a sample of the metal compound and put the loop in the clear blue part of the Bunsen burner.
3) Record what colour the flame goes.

How can you clean a nichrome wire loop?

Answer 2

By dipping it into hydrochloric acid and then rinsing it in distilled water.
