Q

How to prepare a standard solution (5 steps)

A
  1. weigh solid accurately
  2. dissolve solid in beaker using distilled water
  3. pour solution into volumetric flask and rinse traces into flask, using distilled water
  4. fill flask to GRADUATION line, by adding distilled water one drop at a time, until bottom of meniscus lines up with mark (view at eye level)
  5. slowly invert volumetric flask several times to mix solution thoroughly
