- relaxation,
- exposure
What is the anxiety hierarchy?
A hierarchy is constructed and the patient works through it while engaging in relaxation
What two types of exposure are there?
In vitro (imagining) and in vivo (real life)
Which experiment found that in vivo was more successful?

What is covert desensitisation?
The patient imagines an unpleasant consequence to their behaviour
What is in vivo desensitisation?
The patient receives a real positive consequence to their behaviour
What was the technophobia expetiment?
Brosnan and Thorpe 2006
Is SD successful for a range of phobias?
