Q

Why might AMP be counterproductive?

A
  • can equip offenders with additional control mechanisms and increase their capacity to manipulate a situation to their advantage
  • some offenders did not engage in anger, but instead chose to achieve a specific goal
  • e.g. to intimidate during a robbery or imposition of a will on a partner in domestic violence
