اَلْمَاضِيْ
Past tense
e.g. فَعَلَ - He did
اَلْمُضَارِعُ
Present & future tense
e.g. يَفْعَلُ - He is doing or he will do
اَلْاَمْرُ
Positive command / imperative
e.g. اِفْعَلْ - You do

Transitive Verb
Verbs whose meaning cannot be fully understood without a مَفْعُوْلٌ بِهِ
A مَفْعُوْلٌ بِهِ can be added directly without adding any حُرُوُفٌ, e.g.ضَرَبْتُ زَيْدً - I hit Zaid
اَلْلَازِمُ
Intransitive Verb
Verbs whose meaning can be understood without a مَفْعُوْلٌ بِهِ
A مَفْعُوْلٌ بِهِ can only be added to the فِعْلٌ by adding extra حُرُوُفٌ, e.g. ذَهَبْتُ اِلى اَلدُّكَّانِ - I went to the shop
Reminder: A verb of this type cannot also be اَلمَجْهُوْلُ (Passive)
