Clinical features of typhoid?
A
1st week- slow rising temp+relative bradycardia, malaise,headache(frontal) ,cough,coated tongue, constipation, +blood culture
2nd week- high fever( step ladder ,could be there in w 1 also) , diarrhea,rose spots, hepatosplenomegaly, stool culture +, widal reaction strongly + to anti O and H ab
3rd week- intestinal hemorrhage and septicemia, peritonitis, encephalitis, metastatic abscess, colecystitis, endocarditis, urine culture +
BM suppression also could occur

1.cultures Blood-1st week Stool-2nd w Urine-3rd w 2. Serology-SAT (standard agglutination test/widal test) Not very reliable Check for Ag H or O
