a gift may fail if the subject-matter or object is uncertain

A
If the court cannot determine T’s intention from the Will, the gift will fail
The court may use rectification (if possible)

A
gifts to charity which don’t sufficiently identify the charity will not fail if the gift is exclusively for charitable purposes.
