Depression

Bipolar disorders
Causes a person to have mood swings and changes and energy levels and ability to function. A person may swing from periods of extreme activity to periods of deep depression.
Anxiety
Is uneasiness, worry, or fear often about a situation or condition?
Generalized anxiety disorder or GAD
Is characterized by chronic anxiety and were even when there is no reason for concern a person with GAD may be excessively worried about health, finances, work or other issues
Panic disorder
Is characterized by panic attack attacks a panic attack is an episode of intense year that occurs along with physical symptoms, such as rapid heartbeat, chest pain, dizziness, and shortness of breath
Social anxiety disorder
Has intense anxiety and extreme discomfort, in social situations
Phobia
Is an intense irrational, fear of or anxiety about an object place or situation such as fear of dogs or fear of flying
Obsessive, compulsive disorder or OCD
Is a disorder characterized by intrusive behavior, orthotic, cause anxiety or stress
Post traumatic stress disorder or PTSD
Is it disorder caused by experiencing a traumatic event such as being a victim of a violent crime or being involved in combat while in the military
Schizophrenia
Affects a person’s ability to think and communicate clearly it also affects ability to manage emotions, make decisions and understand reality
Hallucinations and illusions are two symptoms of schizophrenia
Hallucinations
Are false or disordered sensory perceptions
People might see something that’s not really there
Delusions
Are persistent, false beliefs, for example a person may believe the other people are controlling his thoughts
Psychotherapy
Involves talking about one’s problems with mental health professionals
Cognitive behavioral therapy or CBT
Is a type of psychotherapy that is often used to treat anxiety and depression
Terminal illness
Is a disease or condition that will eventually cause death
