The act of any individuals personal data should be protected and kept confidential

Vital interest is used in the data protection act and is used to permit sharing information where is is critical and could be life threatening or to prevent serious harm

This act was to show and apply to any doubt that the person concerned has the mental capacity to make their own decisions
