  • abbasid caliphate was ethnically arab but as that collpased new empire arose that were turks
    mamluk sultanate: slaves were forced to be in the military and when there was a period of rest they revolted and created a new empire
    Seljuk empire: The Seljuks were Turks from Central Asia who the Abbasids tried to use
    to prop up their failing state. However, they created their own empire
    instead and became a dominant force in the region.

majaphat empire: one of the most powerful empire and maintain rule by controlling sea routes for trade

khmer empire: hindu kingdom, converted to islam, arctureture reflected faith
