Colonial regions
New England: Puritans, very religious and strict, built on fishing and shipbuilding trades
Middle: more tolerant religiously, and many religions were allowed, they were very involved in trade, especially farming, hunting, shipping, and lumbering
Southern: least religious, especially due to the fact that they own slaves, slavery was a huge part of life in the South, there is lots of farming here where they grow cash crops
French and Indian war( 7 years war)
Causes: both Great Britain and France wanted control of the Ohio River valley
Effects- Great Britain fought the alliance of France, some native American tribes and Spain. Great! Britain came out victorious, they gained Canada, Florida and Spain. France lost a lot of land, but still kept some Caribbean islands. Spain received the Louisiana Territory and the Port of New Orleans. The native Americans didn’t get anything even though they fought in the war. They lost their number one trading partner, and lost the income they got for using the land.
