Dominant Hand
This is a comfortable space around your right or left torso in which most signs are made in a normal conversation

Explain Handshape
It’s important to make the correct handshape so it doesn’t mean something you don’t want it to. The way your hand is shaped for a sign.
Explain Palm orientation
Can change the meaning of the phrase if your palm is facing the wrong way. The way your palm faces.
Explain location
Has to do with the meaning, if you change it, meaning could change. Where the sign is made.
Explain Movement
Affects meaning. Many words have the same handshape so pay attention to movement. That can determine the meaning of the word.
Non Manual Signals
Can be used to show emotions, positive or negative markers. Also used to express sarcasm or how powerful the word is. Used to make statements into questions.

When do you use Deixis
As a closing or starting signal. Pointing to a person or object
Why do you point at empty spaces?
To show direction or the presence of a person who is not there
Is pointing considered rude?
Not at all

Pause between first and last names
