Genre
A type of writing/book.
Ex: Fiction, short story, sci-fi, drama, romance, mystery
Fiction
Something that is made up and follows a plot.
Prose
Normal writing (sentences, paragraphs) not poetry or drama

A brief story focuses on a few characters, has only one conflict, has only one theme
