A rest that has 1 count
What is a 4/4 time signature?
4 beas to each measure/Quarter note gets 1 beat
What are Melodic Intervals?
When 2 pitches of an interval are played independently
what are Harmonic Intervals?
When notes are played together to make a harmony
What does Piano mean?
It means to play soft
What does Mezzo Forte mean?
It means to play moderately loud
What does Forte mean?
It means to play loud
What are the C major primary chords?
C - C,E,G
G7 - B,F,G
F - C,F,A
How many counts does a Half Rest have?
2 counts of rest
What are Tied Notes?
When notes on the same line or space are joined with a curved line.
What is a 3/4 Time Signature?
3/4 = 3 beats to each measure/ means a quarter note gets one beat.
How many counts does a Dotted Half Note have?
3 counts. 2 for the half note. 1 for the dot.
What do Slurs do?
It divides the music into phrases. It connects the notes with as little separation as possible.
What is Pick up note/anacrusis?
A note or sequence of notes
