Define Sentence
a group of words that expresses a complete thought

A simple sentence consists of one independent clause, there may be compound subject or verbs
Define a compound sentence.
A sentence consisting of or two or more independent clauses.
Define a Complex sentence.
A sentence consisting of one independent clause and one or more subordinate (or dependent) clauses.
