  • Character who’s always getting into trouble/ making mistakes.
  • Character who’s relatable & we can sympathise with.
  • Things look good at start but plot point by plot point things get more challenging/
    ridiculous.
  • Dramatic irony – reader can see it coming.
  • Every day setting – school/ work place – relatable.
  • Hyperbolic language & situations.
  • Lots of dialogue between character & exclamatory sentences
