How to approach a dog and minimise stress.
Approach a dog in a slow but confident approach, avoid direct eye contact with the dog, use a
quiet voice to reassure the dog, allow the dog to sniff the back of your hand keeping it at
shoulder level. Use efficient handling and restraint techniques and equipment at all times.
