Bureaucracy
A large, complex organization that functions under a given set of rules and conditions.
Cataract
Whitewater rapids, shallow parts of the Nile River where there are many small boulders and stones.

A divine rule, a rule that is strictly observed.
Delta
A wetland that forms as rivers empty their water and sediment into another body of water.
Distribute

Dynasty
A family or group that rules for several generations.
Embalm
The process of preserving a dead body so that it does not decay.
Envoy
A messenger or representative on a diplomatic mission.
Exodus
The escape of the Israelites from Egyptian slavery to freedom.

An early form of writing based on symbols.

A religious song or poem.
Incense
A gum, spice, or other substance that is burned for the sweet smell it produces.

A material prepared in ancient Egypt from the stem of a water plant, made into sheets then used for writing or painting and also for making rope, sandals, and boats.

A roll of parchment or paper for writing or painting on.

A pole with a bucket and counterweight used in Egypt for raising water.
Tabernacle
A fixed or movable habitation.
Theocracy
A system of government in which priests rule in the name of God or god(s).
Tributaries
A stream or river that feeds into a larger stream, river, or lake.
