1. __________ succession
2. ___________ succession

With the difference in _______

A

Primary
Secondary
SOIL

Primary:
The area is happening in generally BRAND NEW WITHOUT SOIL.

Ex: Volcano lava flow, colled, left behind this new area with NO SOIL present. Usually there are PIONEER SPECIES (species that colonize first).

Lichen & moss supports –> plants –> shrubs –> trees –> animals move

Secondary:
Area that ONCE HAD PLANTS & ANIMALS with ecological community, but there is an ECOLOGICAL DISTURBANCE (forest fire/human activity), but ALREADY HAVE SOIL, then plants & other species come to grow & move again.
