White Paper: Abolish Indian Act and treaties and making Indigienous people apart of the Canadian society.

Red Paper: Indigenous People saw the White Paper as an attempt at assimilation. Status remained, only first nations can determine their own future.

Voter Apathy: Individuals not voting

First Past the Post: Canditate with the most vote wins comapared to the other partie wins, even without the majority

Referendums: Crucial issues citizens are given to vote on wheter to accept/reject proposal
