SOMATOTYPE
Three Body Types
- Ectomorph
- Mesomorph
- Endomorph
- characterized as skinny, thin, lightly muscled, weak fragile, flat chested and usually tall.
- has difficulty building muscles
Ectomorph
- characterized as hard, muscular, thick skinned, and with good posture.
- has high metabolism and well built muscle
Mesomorph
- characterized fat, round, heavy, usually short and has difficulty losing weight
- more muscles than other somatotype
Endomorph
Is a measurement of a person’s weight with respect to his or her height.
Is the recommended method for identifying overweight and obesity.

BODY MASS INDEX Is not reliable at all times. It can be reliable for most people but not to those that are physically trained or those that are active in their lifestyle.
