Why is Russia an example of a Multinational State?
Because many ethnicities are unhappy with their treatment in the country and try to gain sovreignty. Many gained independence after the cold war but some groups (like the Chechens) are still fighting for independence
Why is Hong Kong an example of a Autonomous region?
Because it was under British control until 1997, but power was given back to China. When the power was given over, a system of government was agreed upon to give Hong Kong a seperate government than China’s, which caused recent conflict
Enclave Vs Exclaves
Enclave - A country (or part of a country) COMPLETELY surrounded by the territory of a different country
Exclave - A portion of a country seperated from the main part of a country by a different surrounding country
