what are the main forms of globalization?
-economic ,by accelerating the growth of TNCs , transnational corporations

the G7 is a group of powerful HIC (USA , France , Germany , Italy , Japan ,UK , Canada)
- they meet annually to the global economy , global governance , energy policy and international security
In 1998 Russia joined an it became the G8 but it was then removed because of its actions with Ukraine

OPEC
OPEC=an oil cartel
-established in 1960 to counter oil cuts by american and european oil countires
-middle eastern countires in it
-in 1979 they produced 65% of teh worlds petroleum but in 2007 it droppped to 36%
-even through this loss of power they still kept stability over their power of oil prices
-as opec controlled oil prices in the 1970s and 1980s middle eastern countries gained power and increased their economic power
-this made other countrues want to increase energy conservation and develop different forms of energy
-countries need to mantain good relationships with countrues in opec incase of help of industrialization
-OPEC HAS 81% OF OIL BARRELS
The world bank?
-the world bank was established in 1944 as a source of financial aid and technoal asistance for develpoing countries and its main missions is to fight poverty , they do this by providing resources sharing knowledge and building capacity.
-until 1967 their main purpose was the reconstruction of Europe post war
-189 members , 189 relations
-after that they the focused on the needs of developing countries
-they also strated building schools , hospitals , improving literacy and agricultural reform
- as they focus on MICs this solidifies a relationship and creates a ‘give and take ’
