American ship exploded at Cuba (under Spanish rule).
How was joining the war effort beneficial for America?
Offered job opportunities for the middle class.

Exposed corruption in businesses and American society.
How was the Sedation Act of 1918 unconstitutional?
It violated the first amendment (didn’t allow public criticism of America’s involvement in WW1).
What ultimately started the Great Depression?
Stock Market crash of 1929.
What efforts were made to help bring American out of the great depression?
Roosevelt’s ‘New Deal’ which promised relief, recovery, and reform.

The development of the radio and roads/automobile.

The Zimmerman telegram from Germany to Mexico.
What was the Great Migration?
Migration of thousands of African Americans to the north in search of jobs.
