To reconstruct persons thoughts, emotions, and behaviors through specialized/clinical dialogue and listening

Insight-orientated vs Symptom-elimination
Insight - Focus on roots, symptoms eliminated as results. Goal is produce inside on underlying causes of psychological issues
Symptom - Symptom elimination only, bot worried about understanding origin. If underlying cause is not addressed, symptoms may arise in another form
What do, how do, side effects: Antipsychotics
Reduces symptoms of schizophrenia (especially positive)
Blocks dopamine receptors
Obesity, diabetes, movement problems
What do, how do, side effects: Antianxiety
Temporarily reduces worried thinking, may erase traumatic associations
Slow nervous system activity
Slowed thinking, addiction
What do, how do, side effects: Anti depressant
Improves mood and con free ever negative thoughts
Increase dopamine by inhibiting reuptake
Dry mouth, constipation, reduced sexual desire
