Side effect of erythromycin
GI distress. Nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain and diarrhea.

Serious side effects of Gentamicin
- nephrotoxicity, Ototoxicity (these occur more in the very young and elderly), and neuromuscular blockade (may result in respiratory depression)
- CNS: confusion, depression, disorientation, numbness, and tingling. (myesthenia gravis)
- depressed bone marrow
Peaks and troughs are for

Pt teaching for Linezolid
- Don’t take OTC
- Admin evenly throughout the day
- Avoid tyramine, caffeine or alcohol
- Teach client s/s for Thrombocytopenia and psudomembranous colitis (c.diff)

- Not for breastfeeding moms/pregnant/ kids
- cautiously in bone marrow suppressed pt
