Social-economic problems:
Since 2013, housing and rental prices have increased by an 11% annually.
The solution would be building new homes in the suburbs

Tourism is also a problem since it’s high levels in Madrid of 5.7M annually have created tension with locals.
The solution would be increasing pedestrianized areas.

Unemployment is also a problem since Madrid has the second highest unemployment rate in the EU being of 12% in 2017.
A solution would be creating new jobs.

Environmental problems:
Air pollution:
Madrid’s air pollution has exceeded the EU limits during the past 8 years.
A solution would be reducing speed to 70kmxh

Congestion traffic:
-traffic has increased by 25% since 2005
A solution would be improving public transport
