Kentucky Peerless History

A

-Originally made at E.W. Worsham distillery in Henderson in 1890’s by Henry Kraver
-Foundered after prohibition
-Kraver’s great grandson Corky Taylor and his son Carson bought lapsed trademark in 2014 - moved to Louisville

A

-Contract distiller started in 2014
-by 2024 three column stills - production of 10 million gallons/year
-Custom Distilling allows distillers to develop their own mash bills, ageing techniques, flavor profiles
-50 different mash bills offered
-Brand’s using include Jefferson’s, High West, Kentucky Owl, Blue Run, Hirsch, Calumet, James E Pepper and Cyrus Noble.

-1936 Thompson Willet broke ground on Bardstown facility
-1984 renamed Kentucky Bourbon Distillers (KBD) - independent bottler
-in 2008 reemerged as Willett Family Estate Bottled Rye and Bourbon

-Non GMO grains sourced from a single farm - heirloom corn, rye and wheat for limited released
-Entirely committed to the “Kentucky Regimen” Sour Mash, Slow, open fermentation with native micro-flora, on-grain distillation in a beer still + doubler
-No chill filtering and everything is bottled in bond
-40 differnt mash bills
