WHY ARE NEW DRUGS TESTED

New medical drugs are tested to ensure that they work and are safe to use

3

3 MAIN STAGES OF DRUG TESTING

1. Using computer models and human cells grown in the laboratory

WHY ARE PERFORMANCE ENHANCING DRUGS USED
what do they include?

It improves athletes performance

• STIMULANTS — these boast heart rate and other body functions

• ANABOLIC STEROIDS — These stimulate the boost/growth of muscles
