what is aqidah
aqidah is the firm belief in Allah and in his creations and in the 6 pillars of Iman
do disbelievers have aqidah
aqidah means belief
yes they do have aqidah but they do not have the right aqidah
what are the three types of tawheed
tawheed rububiyah - worshipping Allah alone
tawheed oloheeyah - to believe Allah is one, who is worshipped as one without any partners, shahada is the testimony of oloheeya
tawheed al-asma-wasifat - his names and attributes
what are the two types of ibadah done
ibada khusa - specific acts of worship which are obligatory
ibadah mutadeya - acts of worship we should aim for
three types of patience a muslim should have
being patient staying away from haram being patient while doing the halal way being patient with the tests and trials Allah tests us with
Allah takes an oath on time in Surah Asr, does this mean we can also swear upon this?
No. As Allah can do what He wishes.
we are only allowed to swear upon Allah
why is dua a form of ibadah mentioned
the prophet said ‘dua is worship’
majority of the ibadah you do is dua
dua is the greatest forms of worship that Allah loves and Allah wants you to do by yourself and for Allah alone
al wala al bara
al wala -refers to loyalty and love and support, this love is for Allah, for his prophet and for the muslims
al bara - : refers to hating, freeing yourself from, disavowing yourself from.
what are the two types of ibadah catagories
ibadah koniyah - something that includes everyone in the creation, you dont have a choice, it includes disbelievers
ibadah shreeyah - submission to the legilation of Allah, specific those who follow the legislation and obey Allah (only muslims)
why is dua mentioned when talking about the ways people fell into shirk?
dua is an easy pathway for shaytaan as shaytaan places doubt into peoples hearts that Allah will not accept our dua
people in the past said they pray to an additional person, not to worship them but to pass on their dua to Allah as they themselves claim they are bad people
as dua is one of the most common ways people fell into shirk from the time before the prophet to now
how do we answer the 3 questions of the grave correctly?
who is your lord
this means who do YOU worship as your Lord, who is the lord you worshipped in your life what was the religion you followed
islam is the religion, Islam means to submit your will to Allah alone who is your prophet ?

the best way we can study the life of the prophet ﷺ is by through the quran and sunnah and his seerah
what are the two things that are good, but the bad outweighs the good?
gambling - as we are not allowed to waste money in islam as in gambling its guaranteed for the house to win. this doesnt mean we have to be stingy regarding money
alcohol- due to the evil affects of alcohol we are not allowed to toxicate ourselves for it
can you say that Allah is everywhere?
no, you cannot say that Allah is everywhere , as this is a non-believer thought
but He is above everything and nothing is above Him.
He is above the arsh, the arsh is much bigger than all of his creations combined

what is clasified as shirk in dua?
- to call upon the dead
- to call upon the living person who is not present
- to call upon someone who is alive and present but your asking them for something that he has no authority over and only Allah has that authority
what are the two types of fear?
khawf tobiyah - natural fear and its a wordly fear
khawf alba’d - fear they worship by, this fear is only for Allah, such as being bought to account for our deeds.
what are the types of isti’anah
- seeking aid from the creation that they are able to assist in (such as a teacher)
- seeking aid from the creation that is alive and present but not capable
- seeking aid from the dead or he living in a matter which they are unable to help with in their absence .
SHIRK - seeking aid through rightouse deeds and situations that are beloved to Allah
what are the types of istighatha
- istighatha - people who are capable to seek relief
- seeking refuge with Allah
- seeking refuge with the living or dead who are unale to help you in their absense –> SHIRK
- seeking help from the living who are able to help seeking help from someone who isn’t capable of it without believing he has some special abilities or station with Allah. (such as a wali )
what are the types of tawakul
- tawakul al Allah - completion of iman
- tawakul al sire - hidden dependance a hidden hope ( people believe a dead person can bring goodness/benefit or remove evil from them) –. SHIRK
ragbah
desire- is the love to get to something that you love
rahbah
awe - its a fruitfull fear of escaping that which you fear Allah and this fear is coupled with good deeds
khushu
humility - its humility and contement and reassurence in the greatness of Allah as such that the person surrender (submits) to the judgement (decree) of Allah
what are the three types of animal sacrifice/slaughter (dhabh)
- making slaughter sacrifice for Allah
- you have a guest/walima
- you are commanded to do / it is permissible acts you are encouraged to do so
are we allowed to eat meat from people of the books
